The Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for handling prior authorization requests from healthcare providers and ensuring that patients receive necessary medications by assisting in the approval process with insurance companies. Assists patients with financial coverage (i.e.. patient assistance programs). This position involves collaborating with pharmacists, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to navigate and expedite the prior authorization process. The role ensures accurate and timely completion of all required documentation, allowing patients to access prescribed therapies efficiently.

Experience in retail, specialty, hospital or infusion pharmacy
Experience working in prior authorization/patient assistance role
Education:
High School or GED
Licensures/Certifications:
A current Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician Registration or Pharmacy Intern Registration required (effective 6/28/26)
A current Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician Trainee will be considered as long as Pharmacy Technician Registration is complete within 90 days of hire
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required (PTCB)
