NO PRIOR EMT OR HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED!

  • This will be a paid hybrid training course consisting of a mixture of on the job training, along with in-classroom education at Delaware County Community College campus in Media, PA. It will result in a Full Time EMT position with Main Line Health for all apprentices who successfully meet the graduation requirements of the program!

  • If selected for the program, you will be hired as an EMT Apprentice with Main Line Health. As an EMT Apprentice, you will learn how to work in a fast-paced environment in a pre-hospital setting, maintain treatment standards and protocols, and so much more!

  • Invest in furthering your education through seeking certifications or advanced degrees by taking advantage of our Tuition Reimbursement! You are eligible for up to $6000 annually!

    • Position-Specific Benefits include:

    You are eligible for up to 120 hours of paid time off per year. We also offer a number of employee discounts on various activities, services, and vendors...And employee parking is always free!

    Commitment:

  • Must commit to the in-person program outlined below:
  • The program has an effective start date of Monday, January 18th, 2027.
  • This program will take place at Delaware County Community College (DCCC), Mon.-Thurs. 8am-5pm. Fridays will be hosted onsite at MLH Office located near Riddle Hospital.
  • Must be able to work both day shift and night shift. Permanent shifts will become 12 hours once you have completed the training program and are placed into your full-time EMT role.
  • Day shift is 7am-7pm, and Night shift is 7pm-7am, 3 days/week. Every other weekend requirement.
  • Although candidate preferences are kept in mind, ultimately an apprentices final placement are determined based on operational needs of the system. Please make sure you can commit to ANY of the schedules outlined above permanently before applying.

    • Education

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent

    • Licensures/Certifications:

    1. Current driver's license valid in Pennsylvania with a copy on file.

    Salary: $19/hr.

    Employee Status: Regular

    Schedule: Full-time

    Pay Range: $18.37 - $28.47
