Interpret and evaluate medication orders for patients of MLHS and consult with healthcare professionals to optimize drug therapy. Supervise activities of staff pharmacists, technicians and support personnel to assure accurate and timely compounding, dispensing of medications and provide medication for timely drug administration. Support the healthcare team by providing drug information and guidance related to appropriate and cost effective drug therapy

Charge Pharmacist

Shift:

Mon-Fri dayshift

Experience:

  • Three years work in hospital pharmacy where IV admixtures, automated distribution functions, and clinical counseling were employed is preferred or in a management role.
  • Work history with good to excellent record in organization, accuracy, quality and quantity of work and attendance is required.

    • Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required.
  • Clinical clerkships, residencies and specialties in hospital-oriented environments preferred

    • Licensures/Certifications:

  • A current Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required.
  • Recent graduates and pharmacists eligible for reciprocity will be considered if licensure is complete before the end of the 90-day probationary period

    • Employee Status: Regular

    Pay Range: $58.66 - $91.52
