Reporting into the CEO, The CMO develops and supports the Medical Staff, oversees medical staff functions of privileging and credentialing and peer review, and serves as a liaison between the Medical Staff and MLH Administration. Provides co-executive leadership for patient safety and quality of care for MLH patients Ensures compliance with federal, state and other regulatory agencies. Provides executive leadership for Graduate and Continuing Medical Education Provides executive assistance for programmatic improvement and growth within the MLH Service Lines (Cardiac, OrthoNeurosciences, Oncology and Behavioral Health) by working with the Business Development team. The CMO provides executive leadership for Main Line Clinical Labs, supports the Finance Department with payer contracting and the Information Service Department with the implementation of POE and all clinical systems as required, provides physician executive leadership for Lankenau Institute for Medical Research The selected physician is expected to practice medicine in their specialty at least 20% of the time and up to 40% of the time.

Experience:
3 to 5 years experience in administrative leadership-level position and strong clinical background with clinical practice experience.
Minimum 5 years experience in health care performance improvement leadership, including complex project management and strategic planning in the healthcare environment.
Minimum 5 years operational experience with a focus on stakeholder value, hospital operations, performance improvement and quality.
Education:
M.D. or D.O required, Masters degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or related field or equivalent related experience
