Under the direction of the Director, Project Management, you will assume overall responsibility for construction and renovation projects for all Main Line Health Hospitals and Entities.

  • Plans and directs all efforts for architectural design, construction, budget control and consultants and contractual arrangements associated with construction and/or renovation projects.
  • Focuses on the most cost effective and rapid means of project completion.
  • Acts as a facilitator within the System to bring together diverse opinions toward System goals and objectives.

    Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years progressively responsible experience in major construction and renovation projects from an engineering, architecture, construction viewpoint.
  • Hospital experience in a major hospital facility of 250 patient beds or more required.
  • Multi-hospital experience desired.
  • Extensive knowledge of NFPA Codes as related to Health Care Facilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Pennsylvania’s Department of Health and JCAHO Regulations and Survey requirements.
  • Knowledge of current Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospital and Outpatient Facilities.
  • Analytical Skills:

  • Independent decision making, sound judgment, and ability for resolving complex technical problems.
  • Excellent financial/budgetary skills required to estimate project costs, maintain cost control and remain within budget.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective computer skills including Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Financial management of project cost tracking including financial statements, invoicing, purchase orders and accurate control and documenting of all detailed expenditures.
  • Efficient with current Auto Cad software operations.
  • Education:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a minimum of 6 years of continuous experience in an Acute Hospital facilities in a full project manager capacity.
  • Professional Engineer in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania preferred.
  • AHA Certified Healthcare Constructor Accreditation preferred.
  • Employee Status: Regular
