As a Program Instructor for Respiratory, you play a crucial part in providing effective education in both the classroom and clinical settings of the West Chester University/Byrn Mawr Hospital Respiratory Care Program. Position:

Respiratory Program Instructor

Shift:

Day Shift, 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday; Evening and weekend availability may be needed for class events. Travel required as part of position to clinical and education sites.

Experience:

Minimum four years full-time experience in Respiratory Care. Two years' experience shall include clinical educational experience. Simulation experience strongly preferred.

Education:

1. Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program

2. Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred

3. May be enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program with defined academic goals and considerable experience in Respiratory care, including both clinical and education.

4. Must be willing to enroll in a Master’s Program and complete within four (4) years.

Licensures/Certifications:

1. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.

2. Current Pennsylvania State License required.

3. Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) credential preferred.

4. Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential preferred.

5. Certified Asthma Educator (AE-C) credential preferred.

6. CPR Instructor certification preferred.

7. ACLS Instructor certification preferred.
