Make an impact on your patient’s life as an Advanced Practice Clinician, a licensed medical provider, for Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery Patients. Under the supervision of an attending surgeon/physician, you would be aiding in the management of your patients in a variety of areas: outpatient, inpatient, peri-operative and intra-operative care. You would extend the services of the attending surgeon/physician by: acting as a liaison for the supervising physician, obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting imaging, laboratory and other diagnostic tests, prescribing medications & therapies, performing and assisting in common bedside/office procedures, as well as assisting in the operating room.

Position:

Physician Assistant PA-C/ Nurse Practitioner, NP - Plastic Surgery

Shift:

Full Time, 40 hours/week on day shift

Experience:

2 years' experience as a Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner or Board-Eligible Graduate required.

Experience in Reconstructive or Cosmetic Surgery preferred, Surgical experience required.

Education:

1. Completion of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required.

2. MSN or Masters of Science Required.

Licensures/Certifications:

1. Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner or Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure.

2. Certification by the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants) or Nurse Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)

3. Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required.

4. Require ACLS certification.

5. May require PALS (pediatric advanced life support).

6. Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved.
