Main Line Health’s Nurse Residency Program

Main Line Health’s Nurse Residency Program is a year-long initiative designed to support and guide new graduate nurses as they begin their first professional role. The program emphasizes the development of clinical skills, patient-driven outcomes, and professional growth. The curriculum fosters critical thinking and helps new nurses use data-driven outcomes to enhance patient safety and care quality.

As a newly licensed registered nurse in this full-time position, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, competitive pay, and shift differential. The program includes a precepted orientation tailored to the specific clinical specialty and the individual learning needs of each participant. Throughout this transition, ongoing supervision, training, and educational opportunities will be available.

Timeline:

  • Rolling application period: August 1, 2025 to October 31, 2025
  • Interviewing: virtual interviews will be scheduled for all selected applicants starting in late August 2025.
  • Employment offers: Nurse Resident offers will be extended starting in early September 2025 and will continue throughout November 2025.
  • Employment start dates: November 2025 to March 2026 pending RN license status.
  • Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate or soon-to-be graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ASN, or BSN), with graduation occurring within the past 12 months or within the next 6 months.
  • o Eligibility is based on the graduation date from your initial nursing program, which qualified you to sit for the NCLEX exam.

  • Diploma and ASN graduates must be actively enrolled in a BSN program within 6 months of their employment start date and must successfully obtain a BSN within 3 years of their employment start date.
  • A preferred cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
  • Specialty unit application submission deadlines:

  • Intensive Care Units / Progressive Care /Stepdown Units: Apply by 8/31/2025
  • Emergency Department: Apply by 8/31/2025
  • Inpatient Psych/Behavioral Health (Bryn Mawr Hospital only): Apply by 8/31/2025
  • Medical Surgical/Telemetry Units: Apply by October 31, 2025
  • System Travel Agility Team (Float Pool): Apply by October 31, 2025
  • Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital: Apply by October 31, 2025
  • Main Line Health Hospital locations include:

  • Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital
  • Lankenau Medical Center
  • Paoli Hospital
  • Riddle Hospital
  • Shift/Hours:

  • Full Time: 36 hours per week
  • o Must be able to work full time night shift.

    o Must be able to work 12 hour shifts.

  • Weekend requirement: will not exceed every other weekend, based on unit needs.
  • Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $44.00 per hour, plus shift differential.
  • Benefits:

    Eligible for full-time benefits coverage.

  • Holidays: Varied, depending on unit schedule.
