Genetic Counselor II possesses the technical knowledge and clinical skills necessary to manage/coordinate clinical risk assessment/genetic evaluations in a manner consistent with all requirements of the health care delivery system-medical, administrative, ethical, legal and regulatory. The genetic counselor works cooperatively with genetic counselors, medical director(s), genetic assistant(s), as well as with specialty teams within the areas of oncology, cardiology and/or perinatology/obstetrics/gynecology. The genetic counselor is also responsible for participating in conferences, research activities and educational events as a multidisciplinary team member, as applicable

Position:
Genetics Counselor II
Shift:
Days (Monday through Friday- 40 hours per week)
Experience:
1. Minimum of 3 years of relevant genetics experience (may include graduate training).
2. Minimum of 1 year of practice in specific subspecialty. (Neurology is a plus).
Education:
1. Master's Degree in Genetics/Genetic Counseling or equivalent
2. Subspecialty-appropriate education required. Sub-specialties including but not limited to oncology, cardiology, prenatal/perinatology and/or adult genetics.
Licensures/Certifications:
1. ABGC/ABMG Board Certified required
2. Current license to practice in Pennsylvania.
3. Membership in related field professional organization.
