Make an impact on each patient who receives care in Main Line Health! As a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist, you will support the healthcare team by providing drug information and guidance related to appropriate and cost effective drug therapy. You will also assist in implementing and sustaining ongoing services related to clinical drug use and QA services. Use your leadership skills in assisting in coordinating ongoing development and restructuring of the professional practice of pharmacy within MLHS by defining and conducting educational programs for professional staff. Additional duties will included: aid in assessing needs across the system and involve necessary persons in total patient care concepts as pertinent to optimization of drug use. Interpret and evaluate medication orders for patients of MLHS and consult with necessary healthcare professionals as necessary to optimize drug therapy. Routinely participate in patient care rounds, either with other healthcare providers or independently, and other pharmacy related projects. This position requires you to wear a respirator as part of the job description.

Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist- 40 hours/week

Shift:

Experience:

  • Required: Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency.
  • Preferred: Completion of a PGY2 Residency in Critical Care or equivalent experience in critical care settings.
  • Familiarity with ICU protocols, antimicrobial stewardship, sedation, pain management, and hemodynamic support.
  • Education:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy required.
  • BLS/ALS certification or eligible to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Prior experience precepting pharmacy students.
  • Active participation in relevant professional organizations (e.g., SCCM, ASHP).
  • Licensures/Certifications:

    1. A current Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required.

    2. Recent graduates and pharmacists eligible for reciprocity will be considered as long as licensure is complete before the end of the 90-day probationary period.
