Work with a team to provide a collaborative process of engaging patients with substance use disorders by facilitating a warm handoff from the emergency department or physician office, inpatient hospital, or state or county correctional systems. You will facilitate the access to substance use treatment, available community resources, and 12 Step information and locations. Use your effective communication skills in educating the client/patient and family in the skills necessary to obtain supports in order to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency and recovery from substance use disorders. You will also provide outreach follow-up to patients and family members after their hospital stay when appropriate. The work you do makes a tremendous impact!

Position:
Certified Recovery Specialist- 40 hours/week
Shift:
Day Shift- 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday
Experience:
1. One year of recent clinical experience in substance abuse treatment.
2. 18 months of personal sustained recovery.
3. 1 year recent experience working in acute care hospitals as a Certified Recovery Specialist or working with patients with substance use disorders.
Education:
1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Excellent verbal, written, computer and clerical skills.
Licensures/Certifications:
Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) certification, including successful completion of CRS 54 hour training program.
Signing of an ethical code of conduct
Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
