Make an impact on your patient’s life as an Advanced Practice Provider, a licensed medical provider, for Plastic Surgery. Under the supervision of an attending surgeon/physician, you would be aiding in the management of your patients in a variety of areas: outpatient, inpatient, peri-operative and intra-operative care. You would extend the services of the attending surgeon/physician by: acting as a liaison for the supervising physician, obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting imaging, laboratory and other diagnostic tests, prescribing medications & therapies, performing and assisting in common bedside/office procedures, as well as assisting in the operating room. This position focuses on Reconstructive Surgery, including gender OR cases and aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Position:

Physician Assistant PA-C/ Nurse Practitioner NP - Perioperative Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery

Shift:

Full Time, 40 hours/week. 5 - 8 hour day shift schedule. No nights, weekends or Holidays!

Coverage includes Bryn Mawr Hospital, Lankenau Medical Center and Paoli Hospital

Experience:

1. 2 years' experience as a licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Required.

2. OR Surgical experience Required

3. Plastic Surgery experience Preferred

Education:

1. Bachelor’s degree required.

2. Must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program.

Licensures/Certifications:

1. Must be Certified ( PA-C ) or new graduate who is eligible for certification by the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants) OR Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing Examiners as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner.

2. Active license with Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure.

3. Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required.

4. ACLS certification required.

5. Additional certifications specific to specialty may be required or preferred.

7.Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved.
